Magazine Issue 03
Welcome… It’s the third issue of the Cutting Craftorium and it is a big welcome from us all!
We wanted to tell you straight away about the FREE downloads. Our very clever designers, Amy Dodd, Olga Rienda and Fran Hague (a little more about him below!) have spoiled us. There are eight amazing FREE SVG sets for you to try, including two amazing projects designed exclusively for the Cutting Craftorium Magazine. Amy has designed the magical Fairy Castle and we can imagine the faces of all the little princesses, either to play with or fill with birthday cupcakes. Maybe there is a wedding coming up, it would be perfect as a ‘post box’! Olga has created the Lighthouse! The Nautical look never goes away and this would make a wonderful ornament to accessorise with cushions and throws. It would also make a great decoration for the bathroom, make sure to use sturdy cardstock and spray with a matt varnish.
We also have a new model designer, let me introduce you to Fran Hague. He is an accomplished graphic designer and we’re sure we will see more of his work! In the meantime, go to page 32 and see the adorable Animal Boxes. These are going to be so useful: party favour boxes, gift boxes, teacher’s gifts and so many other ways to use.
There is a set of Baby Shower Embellishments that have been designed to work beautifully with the Hot Air Balloon, you will be able to download both of these to make the most gorgeous decorations for a baby girl or baby boy shower. Look out for the gorgeous models made up by Shirley Ramsey from the Cutting Craftorium Design Team. Talking about the Design Team, have a peep at the Handbag Boxes that Sarah Brannigan made, perfect for something sweet (or expensive!)
Look out for Mel’s take on the Vintage Phone and the Accordion File. It looks so different from the lovely Art Deco original, albeit just as gorgeous. It shows how different colours, papers and a tweak or two can give two distinct projects.
Our last FREE download is the Flowers. Not only will they look great on a China tea cup, but almost anything else that needs embellishment.
